I have a M.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies and a master's certificate in Geographic Information Science from Northeastern Illinois University.
Currently I work as a GIS Technician for the City of St. Charles, IL. I have also worked in data analysis and GIS mapping internships with the National Weather Service, CDM Smith (global engineering firm), Greater Chicago Food Depository (non-profit), and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (regional planning organization in Boston, MA).
I love the visual aspect of maps and the stories that they can tell, and working with GIS allows me to expand my interests in and knowledge of cities, nature, and art. My hope is that through my work with geography I can make even a small difference in the world.
